The Order Celtic Monastic Life (OCML) is the expression available for men and women who have been called by Almighty God to a life of prayer and service that can be lived out in one of three ways: In residence at a monastery—the Brigdic Way for Men and the Hildic Way for Women; in a manner in that is termed the Middle or Columbanic Way where the Monk or Nun lives in the secular community and makes their livlihood there also; and the Cuthbertic Way for those who live in Solitary.
Chapter 7 of our Book of Canons outlines the process of admission, education, and manner by which the Order creates monasteries, crafts their consitutions, and relates to The Celtic Episcopal Church.
